I’ve had this thing sitting on my work table for days and days. I’ve moved it aside, moved it back, stared at it, stared some more. Procrastinating really. Finally, I couldn’t leave it laying around any longer — the boy was pressuring me – so I brought out the paints and decided to wing it.

I should have really stretched it out on a frame before starting to paint. As soon as the brush hit it, the moisture made everything pucker, but I was already commited so had to continue till the end. Turned out pretty well considering I can’t draw anything the way it looks in reality to save my life. The only thing I had to go by was a screen capture from a video game, so even what I was working from wasn’t the greatest. I’m quite happy with it … except for the puckering. I think I’m mostly happy that it’s done.

By the way … it’s a crest on the fabric for the back of a costume cape for a video game character. Talk about off the track. Now back to regularly scheduled programming.
